  Born from a heritage of dedication to quality and innovation, GetReel-GetFish stands as a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of its founders and their unwavering love for fishing. As a proud division of NATIVE SUN SPORTS®, our origins can be traced back to ROCK N’ ROLL CUSTOM-SCREENED SHIRTS, INC. Established in 1973, this venture was the brainchild of G.A. (George) Mitcheson and found its first home in a humble dirt floor garage in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida.
Over a remarkable span of 36 years, Native Sun® has not just been about creating apparel but about building relationships. Enter Mike Ryan—a stalwart angler, a dynamic retail visionary, and more than anything, a cherished friend to George. Hailing from Bradenton, FL, Mike’s expertise in casual sportswear and retail was unparalleled.
In a serendipitous conversation back in April 2005, as they were diving deep into college T-shirt graphics, the tides turned towards Fishing Designs. Mike, with a gleam in his eye, proposed a fresh and invigorating approach to fishing graphics and accessories. Without a moment’s hesitation, Mitcheson’s response was, “Let’s do it”. It was in that very moment that the vision for GetReel-GetFish!â„¢ came to life.
